Dennis M. Kelly

Dennis Kelly is the President of Ambassador Protection Services and a founding partner of the corporation. He is a retired Police Officer having served over 20 years. During his tenure with the Nassau County Police Department, Dennis was assigned to the Patrol Division, Communications, the Emergency Unit, and Highway Patrol Bureau. He was the recipient of three Congressional Medals of Merit, two Medals of Commendation, six Life Saving Awards, and twelve Excellent Police Duty Awards. He was voted Cop of the Month in 1981 and was an active member in many fraternal organizations within the Department. Presently, Dennis is a member of the Honor Legion of the New York City Police Department, The American Society of Industrial Security, The American Academy of Professional Law Enforcement, and the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary.
In 1999, Dennis was asked by Court TV to be an expert commentator for several trials throughout the nation and this continues to this date. Dennis was also interviewed several times by reporters from MSNBC, Fox News, and CNN during the World Economic Forum held this past January in New York City. Ambassador Protection was selected to provide all the security for the largest Business event ever held in the City of New York with over 2,000 corporate, political, and religious leaders from around the world.

John Kelly is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Ambassador Protection Services, Inc. John is a retired Detective from the New York City Police Department, he brings to the table a wealth of knowledge and over 20 years of law enforcement experience.
John joined the NYPD in 1982 and was assigned to the Midtown North Precinct where he worked as a patrolman and member of the Anti-Crime Unit until his transfer to Narcotics in 1988. John quickly earned the reputation of being a first-rate investigator and as such was promoted to the rank of Detective in 1991. The Organized Crime Control Division was the next stop in his illustrious career where he was awarded The OCCB Outstanding Achievement Award for his management and the successful conclusion of numerous complex investigations. In mid 1991, John was selected for the Joint Firearms Task Force, a joint effort between the NYPD, State Police & various Federal Agencies. It was as a member of this elite unit that he earned the prestigious Combat Cross. The second highest medal in the NYPD and awarded for an act of extraordinary heroism. During his 20 years of service, John received numerous medals and commendations in addition to being named Detective of the Month on several occasions. The culmination of his career occurred shortly before his retirement when John was selected as the principal bodyguard from the NYPD for President Clinton during the 2001 UN General Assembly.
Prior to joining the NYPD, John attended St. Francis College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice. He is FBI Certified in Undercover Surveillance and Fingerprint Investigations. He received specialized training and is a certified Executive Protection Specialist. Realizing the importance of continuing education, John has almost completed his Master's Degree in Protection Management at John Jay College of Criminal Justice.

Christopher M. Kelly

Ambassador Protection Services
Chris Kelly is the founder and General Manager of Ambassador Protection Services. Chris retired from the New York Police Department (NYPD) after serving the citizens of the City of New York for more than twenty years.
Chris brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Ambassador. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from St. John's University and is certified in "Specialized Protective Security" (Dignitary & Executive Protection) by NYPD Intelligence Division.
During his twenty years of police service, Chris received numerous awards and commendations including the prestigious "New York City Finest Foundation Cop of the Month" and the Police Department Medal for Exceptional Merit.
Over the years, Chris developed and forged an excellent working relationship with other City, State and Federal law enforcement personnel. In fact, he was the only uniformed police officer permitted into the inner security zone during visits by the President of the United States. Advance teams from the United States Secret Service and State Department would frequently confer with Chris concerning security issues involving visiting dignitaries and Head's of State. During the United Nations General Assembly each fall, Chris played an intricate role protecting visiting dignitaries by assuring the safety of their arriving and departing motorcades.
As his NYPD career neared the end, Chris spent several grueling months as part of the rescue and recovery team at "Ground Zero". Day after day and week after week, Chris searched through the rubble for the remains of his cousin Thomas Kelly (a NYC Firefighter) and for any of the thousands of innocents and heroes lost on September 11, 2001.
Above all, Chris is extremely proud of the effort made by all of the rescue workers. He finds great solace in the fact that they did their best and "gave it their all" not just as members of the NYPD, but as proud citizens of the United States of America.
